Spiritual Journeying

There are many types of travel. Eco-tourism, adventure travel, pilgrimages, guided tours, study abroad and senior hostels are just a few of the choices. This page of my travel blog will focus on inward travel or spiritual journeying.

The following podcast details an event from over 20 years ago in my life. This also heralded my awakening to a life long quest into self-awareness. Come join me on my spiritual journey.

I’m competitive. I’ve only come to know that about myself recently. When I read Dr. Bernie Siegel’s book, “Love, Medicine, and Miracles” I wanted to be one of the “exceptional” patients. I wanted to learn to embrace my healing as a learning experience, focus on the positives, learn visualization and live to see my children grow. My wish is that everyone will learn the importance of love in the healing process. Dr. Siegel’s book is a good place to begin.

  1. Wow, that was a beautiful audio! I currently use creative visualization for goal achievement but never thought to use it for healing. I’m currently recovering from a minor flu bug and have had a persistent cough for the last 2 weeks. Tonight when I go to bed I’ll have to exercise my creative healing abilities!

    “It’s not the obstacles that defines us but it is how we rise to the challenge!” – I absolutely love that quote from the audio! One of the nuggets of wisdom I affirm each day is:

    Problems = Obstacles
    Obstacles = Opportunities
    Opportunities = Gifts
    Therefore…

    Problems = Gifts! 🙂

    Thank you for sharing this wonderful audio. I am happy to have listened along!

    P.S. What has been your favorite country to travel in so far?

      • Wow – 4 trips! I’m going to have to move Greece higher on my list then.

        A couple years back I did my first solo international jaunt to Sri Lanka. I absolutely had the time of my life out there! I use CouchSurfing for a good 2 1/2 weeks of my month long trip. Ever heard of it?

        It’s a fun way to actually live like the locals live, although you need to be very selective to have an exceptional experience.

        As for philosophy, I’m a personal development junkie. For the last year I’ve been a devotee to Jack Canfield school of thought, haha. I’m going to send you an email with my vision board just to show you how ridiculous it has gotten. 😛

        Have a fantastic evening and keep posting – your pictures are stunning!
